HBSE Board was established in 1969 in Chandigarh. In 1970 HBSE conducted its first matric level examination. In 1976 it started conducting the 8th class examination. In 1981 the HBSE was shifted to Bhiwani and in 1987 it started conducting exams of 10+2.
Affiliation: – HBSE board is owned by the department of school education, Haryana. HBSE gives the Affiliation to all the govt. Schools and private schools which are temporary or permanent recognized by the department of school education, Haryana.

HBSE Syllabus 2017
The syllabus of Board Of School Education Haryana (BSEH) is designed by the team of expert teachers of all the subjects. The Board Of School Education Haryana (BSEH) releases few application forms for different purposes which are available on the board’s official website. Haryana Board Exam
Haryana Board conducts the exams of 8th, 10th, and 12th class twice in a year. First semester exams are conducted in September and second-semester exams in March. The result is declared after 1-2 months after exams held.
Haryana board conducts the D.Ed (Diploma in Education) entrance exam annually. This board also conducts the Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) time to time. This test is conducted for the govt. Teacher vacancies in Haryana.
Every year approx 3-4 lakhs of matric students participate in the exams and 2.5-3.5 lakhs of 10+2 students participate in exams. In last year 3.17 lakh students of matric participated in the exams in which 1.70 lakh were boys and 1.44 lakh were girls. Total percentage of passing students was 49%. Similarly In 10+2 total students were 2.5 lakh in which 1.4 lakh were boys and 1.1 lakh were girls. Total percentage of passing students was 62.40%.

Drawbacks of HBSE
This board is Hindi medium board having all the books except English are in Hindi. So students of this board face the English speaking and communication problems.
Advantages of HBSE
Hindi of the students of Haryana board is strong because all the subjects are in Hindi. Getting the good marks in the HBSE is very difficult as the paper checking procedure is very strict.
