VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2017 are the conditions that candidates have to fulfill before applying for the VITEEE Exam 2017. Eligibility Criteria includes requirement related to Age, Nationality, Academic Qualification etc.

Candidates applying for the VITEEE must read all these requirements before applying which are given in this article. We have provided all the details regarding VITEEE eligibility criteria for national, NRI and Foreign Candidates.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria 2017

Candidates have to meet all the requirement for the VITEEE which are as follow:

1. Age Criteria

  • Applying candidates should be born on or after 1st July 1995.
  • High School/SSC Certificate will be considered for the Age proof.

2. Qualification Criteria

  • Candidates should have secured 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology in 12th Class.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and North-East should have secured an aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology.
  • 12th or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London /Cambridge/Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
  • Students from National Institute of Open Learning (NIOP) can also apply.
  • Apart from NIOP, all aspirants should have studied under regular, full time and formal education.

3. Nationality Criteria

  • Both national and international can apply for VITEEE 2017.

4. For NRI Candidates

  • They can apply for VITEEE , apart from applying through direct NRI form.
  • For admission under the foreign category, candidates must be foreign nationals/Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) studying in any country. The fee should be paid only in USD by the sponsor.

5. Foreign Candidates

  • Foreign Candidates studied/studying in abroad can apply directly through foreign category only.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria For NRI Candidates

  • NRI candidates must have studied English as one of the subjects in the qualifying examinations.
  • For admission to B.Tech courses, the candidates should have completed 12 years of schooling (equivalent to 10+2 system of Indian Education) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.
  • Applying candidates must have secure a minimum average of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology or Biotechnology (PCB) in 12th Class or Equivalent Degree.
  • If the applicants have studied Physical Science with the combination of Physics and Chemistry as subjects in the qualifying examination, they should produce the certificate of approval from the school to that effect and also proper approval from AIU/Board of Studies.
  • Applying candidates should be born on or after 1st July 1995.
  • For candidates having NRI status, the Sponsorship should be given only by the parent (either father or mother only) living abroad (Sponsorship by relative/friend is not acceptable).
  • NRI candidates should produce Employer Certificate of the sponsor, either Father or Mother.
  • The candidates are required to produce a valid passport and visa copies.

VITEEE Eligibility Criteria For Foreign Candidates

  • Foreign candidates must have studied English as one of the subjects in the qualifying examinations.
  • They can apply for VITEEE under the Foreign Category.
  • Mathematics andPhysics are the compulsory subjects for applying.
  • The third subject can be either Chemistry/Computer Sciences/Electronics/Biotechnology/Biology.
  • They are required to have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in these subjects (usually it is “C” grade) in 12th or its equivalent. For candidates from Nepal, minimum of 60% aggregate in the above subjects for Class 11 and Class 12 put-together is mandatory.
  • Candidate must have proof of foreign nationality, i.e., valid passport or national ID.
