Board of Secondary Education Madhya Pradesh (MPBSE) was established in 1965 under the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Act,1965. The board is responsible for determining the policy-related, administrative, cognitive and direction of the higher education system.
The board regulates and supervise the system of education in the state. The board also executes the activities like devising of course of study, designing of the syllabus, conducting of exams and granting affiliations to the colleges of Madhya Pradesh.
Functions of MPBSE
- To prescribe schemes of studies, syllabus, and course of instructions for the higher secondary schools.
- Conducting of the exams timely.
- To demand and take fees prescribed by the regulations.
- To publish the result of examinations.
- Granting of the certificates of passing students.
- Providing scholarships and prizes to the deserving students.
- To Prescribe and select the textbooks and supplementary books.
- To make the conditions for recognizing the higher schools and junior colleges.
- To affiliate the higher secondary schools.
- To advise the government on re-organization and development of higher secondary education.
The syllabus of Board of Secondary Education Madhya Pradesh is designed by the team of expert teachers of all the subjects. The syllabus is modified regularly by the team of experts for the different academic sessions. The board prepares the syllabus according to the overall growth of the students, present demand and necessity of the student’s growth.
The books of MPBSE are prepared by the academic wing of the board having the expert teachers of all subjects. The syllabus of the books is revised regularly according to the necessity. After preparation of the syllabus, textbooks are printed and published for the students.
MPBSE Hall Ticket
Board of Secondary Education Madhya Pradesh issues the hall ticket or admit card for secondary examinations. All the admit cards/hall tickets are issued few days before the examinations. This hall ticket/Admit card is important to sit in the examination. The admit card has the information of student’s name, roll number, exam dates, and exam center.
Board of secondary education Madhya Pradesh conducts the three examinations as middle school exams for 8th class, higher school exams for the 10th class and secondary higher school exams for the 10+2 class. The board conducted its first exams in the year 1959-60. In this approx 80000 students took participation. Nowadays the strength of the students reached to 10 lakhs per year.
The board conducts the exams for 10th and 12th classes in the month of February/March and declares the results in the month of the May.
