SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria – Nationality

  • Applicant must be a citizen of either India/Nepal/Bhutan

OR

  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962

OR

  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria – Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for the different post as on 1st August 2017 is explained below:

1. Assistant Audit Officer

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute.

2. Statistical Investigator Grade-II

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute in any discipline with minimum 60% marks in Mathematics in 12th class.

OR

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

3. Compiler

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute in Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as the compulsory or Elective subject.

4. All Other Posts

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute. For the post of Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Computer Proficiency Test is also an essential qualification.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria – Physical Fitness

Male 157.5 cm Chest must be 81 cm with a minimum of 5 cm expansion. Note: The Garhwali, Assamese, Gorkhas and the Scheduled Tribes Candidates have been given a relaxation of 5 cm.                          –
Female 152 cm. height can be relaxed by 2.5 cm                  – Weight must be 48 kgs. Note: The Garhwali, Assamese, Gorkhas and the Scheduled Tribes Candidates have been given a weight relaxation of 2 kgs.
