The applicants who are selected for IBPS RRB vacancies on the basis of IBPS RRB Selection Procedure which is decided by the exam conducting authority. The IBPS RRB 2017 selection procedure of Officer Scale I, II & III and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) is different. The selection for the post of Officer Scale I, II & III is done on the basis of Mains Exam/Single Exam and Interview while on the other hand the for the Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the candidates are selected through Mains exam only.
The Provisional allotment for both posts will be done according to the rank achieved by the applicants and number of vacancies of the banks. IBPS RRB Selection Process Notification 2017
IBPS RRB Selection Process has various stages which are explained below one by one:
Applicants applying for both posts firstly have to appear for the preliminary exam. After the completion of the exam, candidates will be shortlisted for Mains exam on the basis of their performance in prelims exam. Applicants have to score the equal or more than the minimum qualifying marks. Applicants will be shortlisted category wise for the mains exam.
The shortlisted candidates will appear for the online mains exam as per the IBPS RRB Selection Procedure 2017. Applicants applying for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) will be given provisional allotment on the basis of the mains exam performance and the number of vacancies provided by the bank. Candidates applying for the Officer Scale-I will be called for the interview who will qualify the mains exam.
Single Online Exam
The applicants applying for the Officer Scale-II & III will have to appear for the Single Online exam. Candidates have to qualify the minimum cutoff to be shortlisted for the next round of the IBPS RRB Selection Procedure. Shortlisted applicants will be called for a common interview.
The candidates applying for the post of Officer Scale – I, II & III will be called for the interview round. The applicants shortlisted through mains exam for the post of Officer Scale-I and applicants shortlisted through Single online exam for the post of Officer Scale-II & III will appear for the interview. The minimum marks to qualify the interview round will not be less than 40% for General category candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per the IBPS RRB Selection Procedure 2017.
The candidates have to verify their documents before the provisional allotment. If a candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria or another requirement than his/her registration will be canceled. Applicants will be allotted the allotment after the verification of the documents. The final decision of issuing the appointment letter, verification formalities, and joining will be RRBs.
The conducting authority will prepare the merit list on the basis of mains exam/single exam and interview marks. The weight age of the marks will be 80:20 in which 80 marks will be for the exam and 20 marks will be for interview round. Candidates should also rank higher in the merit list to get the allotment. After all these stages of IBPS RRB Selection Procedure, candidates will be provided the allotment on the basis of merit list and preferences.
