Applicants can check the details regarding age limit, educational qualification, nationality and other details of IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria.

Age Limit

The age of the applicants must be between 20 years to 30 years as on 1-8-2017. It means that applicants must be born not earlier than 2-8-1987 and not later than 1-8-1997.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have completed the degree in any discipline from a Government recognized Universty or Institute or equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government as on 5-09-2017.
  • The applicants must have a valid mark sheet/degree certificate as a proof of graduate also, showing the marks obtained in the graduation while filling the IBPS PO Application Form.


A candidate must be either – (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
