IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2017

Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling the IBPS Clerk Application Form. Candidates can check all the requirements of eligibility criteria below:

Age Limit

The maximum age prescribed for the IBPS Clerk is 28 years and minimum age is 20 years which means the applicant must be born not earlier than 2-08-1988 and not after than 1-08-1996 (both dates are inclusive).

Educational Qualification

  • Applicant must have a degree in any discipline from a recognized University by the Government of India or equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government.
  • The candidates must have their valid mark sheet/degree while applying for the IBPS Clerk 2017.
  • The result should have been declared on or before September 2017.

Nationality

The applicant must be either-

(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Applicants must have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.
