JIPMER MBBS 2017 – Application Form, Result, Cutoff

Jawaharlal Institute Of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) MBBS is conducted by JIPMER, Puducherry. JIPMER MBBS is a national level undergraduate medical entrance exam. This exam is conducted for offering the admission to 150 MBBS seats in JIPMER Puducherry and 50 MBBS seats in Karaikal. It is conducted Computer based mode i.e. online mode.

To participate in the JIPMER MBBS 2017, candidates have o fill the application form which was available from 27th March 2017 onwards. The last date for filling application form was 3rd May. Admit Card was available for the downloading from 22nd May to 4th June 2017. The JIPMER MBBS 2017 exam was conducted on 4th June. The exam was conducted in 75 centers across the country. The JIPMER MBBS Result 2017 was declared on 9th June. After result declaration, the shortlisted candidates are called for the Counselling which will be conducted from 28th to 30tJunene. JIPMER MBBS Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the Eligibility Criteria of JIPMER MBBS 2017 below. All candidates must check this before filling the application form.


Candidate must be an Indian national/Overseas citizens of India.

Non-resident Indians/Overseas citizens of India

NRI/OCI candidates who are registered under section 7A of citizenship Act of 1955 can also appear for JIPMER MBBS 2017. NRI/Overseas citizens can apply for the general category only.

Age Limit

  • Candidates applying for the JIPMER MBBS must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2017.
  • Candidates should be born or before January 1, 2001.

Educational Qualification

  • Applying candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry with English as elective subject as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
  • Candidates belonging to General category must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 50% marks.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 40% marks.
  • OPH candidates, belonging to General category must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 45% marks.

JIPMER MBBS Application Form

JIPMER MBBS application form was available online from 27th March. The last date for filling the application form was 3rd May. Candidates can fill the application form by following these 5 steps:

Candidates belonging to General/OBC category have to pay Rs. 1200 as application fee and SC/ST candidates have to pay Rs. 1000. Candidates can pay the fee only through online mode by using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.


JIPMER MBBS Admit card was available for downloading from 22nd May 2017. Candidates can download the admit card by entering their application number and password. The last date for downloading the admit card was 4th June. Admit card carries the information like candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, exam venue, the timing of exam address of venue etc. All candidates have to carry the admit card to the examination hall.

JIPMER MBBS Result 2017 was announced by JIPMER on 9th June. The result carries the information like candidate’s name, All India Rank, percentile, marks obtained in all subjects individually. Candidates can check the JIPMER MBBS 2017 result through the link given in this article. JIPMER MBBS Cut off 2017 has released by Jawaharlal Institute Of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER). The cutoff is the minimum marks that a candidate has to score to qualify the exam. The cutoff of JIPMER MBBS 2017 depends on various factors like total number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, total number of seats available etc. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of cutoff marks and released along with the result.

JIPMER MBBS Counselling

JIPMER MBBS Counselling 2017 will be conducted in three rounds starting from 28th t0 30th June. Candidates will be called for the Counselling according to the merit list. The merit list contains the name of candidates who have qualified the JIPMER MBBS 2017 exam with the minimum required cutoff percentile. If a candidate participates in the first round of Counselling then he/she can not attend any subsequent Counselling rounds. The Counselling will be conducted in offline mode. So, candidates have to physically present to participate in the Counselling.

AIIMS MBBS is a computer based test so the availability of the answer key is not possible. Generally coaching institutes releases their answer key of the exam whose question paper is available after the exam. So there is no possibility of getting the answer key.
