JEE Main Results 2018 Online

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare the JEE Main Results 2018 on 30th April 2018. The result will be announced separately for both the papers i.e for Paper-1 & Paper-2. JEE Main 2017 Topper

The topper of JEE Main 2017 Kalpit Veerwal has created a record by getting 100% marks (360 out of 360). This made him the first candidate in the history of JEE Main scoring this. Vrunda Rathi is the topper amongst the girls scoring 312 marks out of 360 with AIR 71.

Specifications of JEE Main Results 2018

  • The All India Rank can be checked with the category rank and actual score obtained by the candidate in the JEE Main examination.
  • Candidates can download their JEE Main Rank card 2018.
  • The All India Rank will be calculated on the basis of actual marks obtained in the exam.
  • The candidates can only download their score card online. There is no option for getting score card by post.
  • The candidates can also check the cutoff of JEE Advanced along with the JEE Main Result. So they can know whether they are qualified for the JEE Main Advanced exam or not.
  • In 2018 JEE Main exam 2,24,000 top candidates will be selected for the JEE Advanced exam 2018.

JEE Advanced 2017 Qualifying Marks

When two or more candidates score equal marks in the JEE Main Exam then Inter-se-merit or Tie-Breaking policy is applied. Check all the rules and details of this policy below:

If two or more candidates carry equal marks then the rank will decide by following rules:

  1. If two or more candidates share same marks then the rank of a candidate having high marks in Mathematics and then in Physics will get a higher rank.
  2. The absolute value of candidate is calculated on the basis of the ratio of negative and positive marks. The Candidate having higher absolute value will get the higher rank.
  3. If both rules are not able to resolve the problem then both the candidate will be given the same rank.

JEE Main Counselling 2018

The JEE Main Counselling 2018 will be conducted by Joint seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Only those applicants can participate in the counseling who have qualified the JEE Main exam. Applicants have to register themselves for the counseling and have to select their preferred colleges and courses.

After this online allocation of the seats is done on the basis of applicant’s rank, category, seat availability and other factors. After seat allotment applicant have to report to the college for document verification and fee payment. JoSAA conducts various rounds of counsellings and applicants will be allotted to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

  • 3 passport sized photographs.
  • JEE Main admit card

  • Proof of date of birth
  • Seat allotment letter
  • Photo identity card
  • Proof of seat acceptance fee payment
  • 12th standard mark sheet
