GMAT Eligibility Criteria 2017 – Check All Requirements


GMAT Eligibility Criteria 2017 is not defined by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) the conducting body of GMAT. So there is no need to fulfill any eligibility criteria for the candidates. Only candidates required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognized University. The criteria for the admission is set by the individual schools which are the participating institutes of the GMAT and accepts the score of the same.

For GMAT2017, there is age preference said to be 18 years. According to the GMAC regulations candidate below 18 years has to get the written permission from parents or legal Guardian. The Participating institutes have their own eligibility criteria may be work experience or previous degree etc.

Here are some important points regarding GMAT Eligibility Criteria as there are no specific requirements defined by the conducting authority GMAC:

  • Applicant must have an undergraduate degree with a recognized University or Institute.
  • The candidate must be at least 18 years old. If he/she is below 18 years then he/she requires the written permission from parents or legal Guardian.
  • The minimum gap between two consecutive attempts is 16 days.
  • A Candidate can take the maximum 5 attempts within the period of 12 months.
  • A candidate can take only 8 GMAT exams in his/her lifetime.

GMAT 2017 which is known as Graduate Management Admission Test is a management test. GMAT is conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). This test is conducted for admission to MBA, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Finance and other 5,900 programs in more than 2000 business schools worldwide. GMAT 2017 score is valid up to 5 years and it held around the year at over 600 exam centers across the world. This test is a computer adaptive test and the time duration of the test is 3.30 Hours. GMAT test evaluates candidate’s 4 skills that are Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal.
