BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) for granting the admission in the various courses in the University. BITS has three campuses situated at Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. Bits has one Campus in Dubai also. For more information about the exam, click here.
Every year approx 3 lakh candidates apply for the examination to take the admission in 2000 available seats in various programs. The University has released the application form for the BITSAT 2018 on 19th December 2017. Candidates can fill the application available until 13th of March 2018. Candidates have to pay the application fee to apply. The candidates can download their hall tickets from 12th April 2018.
The exam will be conducted from 16th to 31st May 2018 in two slots daily. The slot booking will be done from 23rd March to 5th April 2018. BITS conducts the mock test also for the candidates to give the better idea about the pattern and format of the actual exam. What’s New in BITSAT 2018?
- The application fee for the male candidate is Rs. 2950/- and for the female candidate is Rs. 2450/-. The application fee for the candidates who opted the Dubai as exam center, they will have to pay Rs. 4500/- for the application fee.
- In BITSAT 2018, there are 50 exam centers as compare to last year.
Eligibility Criteria of BITSAT are the conditions that must be fulfilled by the candidate to be eligible for applying. All the conditions of BITSAT Eligibility Criteria are explained in detail here. Read these all conditions before applying for the Exam.
- Applicant should pass XII class or equivalent with a recognized board with aggregate 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. They also need to secure 60% marks in each subject that are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.
- The aspirant must have proficiency in English to be eligible for the BITSAT 2018.
- The applicant should appear or passed in XII class to take the participate in the examination.
- Top-ranked or Candidate having 1st rank in central board or any state board will be offered admission to the course of his choice irrespective of rank and score in the examination. However, these candidates must fulfill the above requirements.
BITSAT Application Form 2018
BITSAT Application forms are available online for the candidates now. The aspirants can fill the application form online from 19th December 2017 to 13th March 2018. To apply for the BITSAT, candidates have to register themselves after that they have to fill the application form and the last step of applying is to pay the application fees. The exam pattern of the BITSAT Exam is designed by the BITS Pilani. The exam pattern carries the information about exam paper like time duration, number of questions, nature of questions, total marks, marking scheme etc. Candidates preparing for the BITSAT 2018, must go through the exam pattern to get familiar with the exam paper.
There are 4 sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in the BITSAT test. The time duration of the exam is 3 hours. Total 150 questions are in the exam and all are objective type. The brief detail is given below in the table. For more information go through the link.

Marking: – For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 3 marks and for every incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted. For the unattempted question, there will be no marks given or deducted. If a candidate attempts all 150 questions within the time limit without skipping any question then he/she can attempt the 12 additional questions (Four each from all subjects).

Slot Booking is the process of selecting/choosing the Date, Time and Center of the exam for which candidate is suitable. The slot booking of the exam will be commenced by the BITS Pilani from 23rd March 2018. The last date of slot booking will be 5th April 2018. The process of Slot Booking is done on the basis of first come first serve. So, aspirants are advised to book their slot as soon as possible to get the exam date and center of their choice. For slot booking, candidates have to enter the details like Application Number, Gender, Date of Birth, Email ID. After the slot booking, candidates can download the admit card for the exam. After completing the process of slot booking, candidates can download their admit card. The date for downloading the admit card is from 12th Aril to 10th May 2018. The hall ticket will be available in online mode and for those aspirants only who will book their slots at the given time. To download the Admit Card 2018 candidates have to log in to the portal and have to enter the details. Candidates must keep the admit card safe until the completion of admission process.

BITSAT 2018 Exam Center
BITSAT Exam Centers are the exam venues where the online exam will be conducted. Candidates can choose the exam date and exam center according to their convenience through the slot booking. BITSAT has the exam centers across the India and Dubai. BITSAT 2018 will be conducted in 50 cities across India and Dubai. Last year, the exam was conducted in 46 cities across India and in Dubai. When choosing the exam center in India, candidates have to choose the three preferred exam centers in order of their preference. While for Dubai candidates there is only one exam center. BITSAT Mock Test
BITS provides the mock test for the applied candidates to give an idea about the actual exam of BITSAT. Candidates can download the file of the BITSAT Mock Test from the BITS portal. The mock test will be 30 minutes long as compare to actual one. The test will be divided into four parts that are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English & Logical Reasoning. The test score will be flash on the display after clicking on the final submission button. This test is used for the preparation for the actual exam.

BITSAT 2018 Answer Key
BITSAT Answer key contains the all correct answers to the questions that were asked in the Exam. Candidates can download this and can match their answers that they have marked in the exam. With the help of this answer key, candidates can predict their score in the exam. BITSAT Result 2018
BITSAT Result 2018 will be announced by the BITS Pilani on 20th June 2018. The result will be declared online in two parts. In part-1, the candidates will know the score which can be seen immediately after the completion of the exam. The second part of the result will contain the Admission list and Waiting list. BITS will declare the result in Iterations that is Iteration-I, II, III, IV on different dates. Candidates can see the result and can print out the same. BITSAT Cutoff is the minimum score that candidates have to secure to be eligible for participating in the Counselling. BITS Pilani prepares a merit list of candidates to participate in the Counselling on the basis of BITSAT Cutoff. The Cutoff will be determined by the various factors like Number of Applicants, Number of Seats Available, the difficulty level of the exam etc. The cutoff of BITSAT varies for each program and each campus.
The participating Institutes of BITSAT are the institutes that offer the admission to qualifying candidates into different programs for undergraduate level.The admissions will be offered on the basis of BITSAT Score. BITSAT 2018 participating institutes are BITS Pilani, BITS Goa, BITS Hyderabad, and BITS Dubai. They will offer the admission to the candidates over 2,000 seats in different programs.
Counselling And Seat Allotment
BITSAT Counselling is the process of offering the admissions to the qualifying candidates into B.Tech/B.E programs to all branches of BITS. BITSAT Counselling will be conducted after the declaration of the result. To participate in the Counselling, candidates have to fill the “Admission Application Form” for first integrated programs along with 12th mark sheet. The Counselling for all three branches of BITS will be conducted simultaneously. Toppers of the Central or state Boards have to apply separately for admission under “Direct Admission to Board Toppers”.
