BCECE Exam 2017 – Result, Application Form and Counselling

BCECE Exam 2017 (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) is conducted by BCECEB (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board). It is a state level undergraduate engineering entrance exam to offer the admission to around 3000 seats in 8 government and 12 private engineering Colleges/Universities of Bihar.

To participate in BCECE 2017 candidates have to register themselves by filling the application form which was available from 14th February. The last date of filing the application form 6th March. The correction facility in the application form was also available from 10th to 12th March. To fill the application form, candidates have to pay the application fee through online mode or offline mode. The last date to pay the application fee through both modes was 9th March. Earlier the exam was conducted in two stages: Stage -1 and Stage-2. But due to delay in the releasing of admit card, the board has decided to conduct the exam in only one stage.

The BCECE 2017 exam date is 18th June 2017. The board has published the admit card on 4th June. Candidates can download the admit card through online mode only by entering the required details. BCECE Eligibility Criteria

BCECE Eligibility Criteria 2017 are the conditions or requirements which candidates have to meet to be eligible for the BCECE Exam 2017. Candidates must read all the conditions before filing the BCECE Application Form 2017.

  • All Candidates applying for BCECE must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with chemistry, physics and mathematics/biology as compulsory subjects.
  • The candidates who are appearing in their 10+2 board or equivalent examination in 2017, are also eligible to appear in the exam.
  • Candidates must be Indian Citizen to apply for the exam.
  • There is no any upper age and lower age limit for the candidates.

All the candidates must meet all these aforesaid conditions to be eligible for the BCECE 2017.

BCECE Application Form

BCECE Application Form was available from 14th February 2017 onwards and the last date of submitting the application form was 6th March. The correction facility in application form was available from 10th to 12th March. Candidates can pay the application fee through online or offline by 9th March 2017.

  • Firstly, Candidates have to register themselves using valid email ID and mobile number to fill the application form.
  • After that, log in again using registration number and password.
  • Now, candidates have to pay the application fee through online mode (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking) or through offline (Bank Challan).
  • After paying the application fee, candidates have to fill the application form by entering the personal details, educational details, communication details etc.
  • After that, they have to upload the scanned images of Photograph and signature.
  • Now, take the printout of the filled application form and send it to the BCECE Board along with the required documents to the following address:

BCECE Admit Card

Candidates can download the BCECE Admit Card online from 4th June onwards. Only registered candidates can download the admit card. To download the admit card, candidates have to enter their registration number/ User Name and password. Aspirants must check all the details printed on the admit card before downloading. In the case of any discrepancy, candidates must contact the authorities. Candidates without admit card can’t sit in the examination hall. Admit card of BCECE carries the following details:

BCECE Exam Pattern

The BCECE Board design the exam pattern of BCECE. The exam pattern of BCECE has not released till now, however, the exam pattern may be same as the previous year. As the BCECE Board release the Exam pattern, we will publish it as soon. According to last year pattern, the exam was of 600 marks. For every correct answer 4 marks were rewarded and for any incorrect answer, 1 mark was deducted.

BCECE Result

BCECE Result is expected to be declared in the month of July 2017. The result carries the marks of the students and also reflects the roll numbers of the candidates category-wise. But the roll number will be shown of only those candidates who have qualified the exam. After the result, qualified candidates will participate in the Counselling. The date and time of the interview will be shown in the result of qualified candidates.

BCECE Answer Key

The answer key of BCECE will be published after the completion of the Exam on 18th June 2017. The answer key contains the correct answers to the questions that were asked in the BCECE exam. With the help of Answer key, candidates can match their answers given in the exam and calculate their score in BCECE. The answer key will be released for all sets after 18th June.

BCECE Cutoff

BCECE cutoff is the minimum marks that are required to score by the candidates to be eligible for the admission to various courses and colleges in Bihar. The cutoff for all courses, categories, and colleges will be different. To calculate the cutoff marks various factors are undertaken like the total number of applicants, difficulty level of the question paper, total number of available seats etc.

BCECE Counselling

BCECE Counselling will be conducted after the declaration of the result by the BCECE Board. Only Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the Counselling. To participate in the Counselling, candidates have to register themselves and then they have to fill the choices of courses and colleges. The Counselling and seat allotment process will be done on the basis of the ranks scored by the candidates. After the completion of the seat allotment process, candidates have to report to the allotted colleges along with the fee and required documents.
