Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER) is a board for school level education in the Rajasthan state. Firstly the board was set up in Jaipur on 4th December 1957. Then it was shifted to the Ajmer in the year 1961. In the year 2000, the strength of the students in the 10th and 12th class was 8.5 lakhs.
The Chairman and Secretary of the Board are appointed by the state government of Rajasthan. The tenure of the board is three years.
Functions of BSER
Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan is responsible for formation and implementation of rules and regulations according to the guidelines of state and central boards. It is also involved in the implementation of the syllabus, textbooks, and examinations. The board creates the textbooks, conducts the examinations and declares the results.
Syllabus Of BSER
The syllabus of BSER is designed by the team of expert teachers of all the subjects. The syllabus is modified regularly by the team of experts for the different academic sessions. The board prepares the syllabus according to the overall growth of the students, present demand and necessity of the student’s growth.
The books of BSER are prepared by the academic wing of the board having the expert teachers of all subjects. The syllabus of the books is revised regularly according to the necessity. After preparation of the syllabus, textbooks are printed and published for the students.

BSER Hall Ticket/Admit Card
The Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan issues the Hall ticket or Admit card for secondary examinations. All the Admit cards/All tickets are issued few days before the examinations. This Hall ticket/ Admit card is important to sit in the examination. The Admit card has the information of student’s name, roll number, exam dates, and exam center. The students without hall ticket will not be permitted to sit in the examination hall.
The number of students that takes part in the examinations is 11-12 lakhs for the 10th class and 8-9 lakhs for the 12th class. The exams of the board for both classes are held in the month of February or March and the result is declared in the month of may.
Apart from the secondary and higher secondary examinations, the board conducts some other exams also such as Science talent search examination (State Level) and National Talent search examinations.
